My Angel Foundation is excited to announce that KCCI morning news anchor, Katie Ward, will be the emcee for the 6th Annual C.A.R.E. 5K & 10K Run and Walk for Organ, Eye and Tissue Donation Awareness on Saturday, May 4th in Waukee.

The C.A.R.E. 5K & 10K  is a collection of a 10K run course and a 5K run and walk course designed to help promote organ, eye and tissue donation and highlight the success of transplantation. Each year this run and walk draws participants such as transplant candidates, transplant recipients and family members, hospital personnel, donor family members and the general public.

Whether you run, walk, wheel, volunteer, cheer or make a charitable donation, it’s a great way to support this life-changing cause.

C.A.R.E. is an acronym for Compassion for Awareness, Remembrance, and Education.
