C.A.R.E. 5K & 10K Event Details

C.A.R.E. is an acronym for Compassion for Awareness, Remembrance, and Education.

My Angel Foundation’s mission of the 7th Annual C.A.R.E. 5K & 10K Run and Walk in Waukee, Iowa, is to spread awareness about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation by commemorating the lives of organ, eye and tissue donors, celebrating the lives of organ, eye and tissue recipients, and recognizing the lives of those waiting for a lifesaving transplant!

Schedule:

6:30AM – 8:00AM Registration / Packet Pick-Up
8:00AM Open Remarks and National Anthem
8:30AM 5K & 10K Run Begins
8:31AM 5K Walk Begins
After 5K Run: 5K Results/Awards Ceremony
After 10K Run: Kiddie K (children under 10 years old)
After 10K Run: 10K Results/Awards Ceremony

Youth Size T-Shirts:
You have the option to purchase youth size t-shirts during registration for kids 12 years and under that will be running or walking for only $8.00 a shirt during the online registration process.

Kiddie K:
The Kiddie K is a FREE fun run for kids 10 years old and younger. The Kiddie K will follow the finish of the 10K run. You may purchase additional youth size t-shirts for kids 10 years old and younger during the online registration or email Ted Cochran at ted<@>myangelfoundation<.>org.

Awards for Runners:
The top three overall male and female in both the 5K and 10K run will receive trophies. Plus, the top three in each age category will receive medals.

Age Categories:
The 5K & 10K run age categories are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

Parking:
Please park in Waukee High School’s west parking lot located off of Ashworth Drive. Please allow yourself an additional 15 mintues or so for parking.
